Gathering 2012

The information you've long awaited regarding the 2012 Gathering at Culcreuch Castle in Fintry, Scotland is now available!

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the Gathering Agenda so you may understand the planned activities at the 2012 Gathering. Some important supplemental information is also available.

Please read the Grand Banquet menu so you may specify on the Registration Form your choice(s) of Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert for each person attending the Gathering

Please complete the Registration Form. You may complete and submit on-line, or download for subsequent mailing, or obtain a copy from the February 2012 Red Tower.

Meals: Breakfast is included as part of the lodging fee for guests staying in the castle and courtyard rooms. With the exception of the Grand Banquet on Wednesday evening, all other meals are the responsibility of the guest. Sample Culcreuch Bar and Dining menus are available on the website.

The Attendance Fee for each person attending the Gathering is $125.00 U.S. The fee includes Welcome Reception, Touring Transportation, and the Grand Banquet. You may pay the fee by using PayPal, available on the website, or via a check made payable to Clan Galbraith Association and mailed to:

CGA has identified additional lodging facilities in and around Fintry for late-comers who wish to attend.
Also, a Facebook page is available which you may use to exchange information should a room in the castle become available, coordinate travel from Glasgow or Edenburgh to Fintry, and more. You may wish to visit the Facebook page each time you visit the website. Just click on the "room" icon.

Arboretum at Culcreuch Dungeon at Culcreuch

This picture, taken in 1996, shows some of the trees in the Arboretum at Culcreuch. In the center is a Sequoya and at far left a California Redwood. Redwoods thrive only in a climate similar to that found north of San Francisco, USA. This provides us a clue to the weather prevalent at Culcreuch. This is a view of the dungeon at Culcreuch. Originally it may have functioned as a "basement" for the storage of food and whatever. And perhaps the occasional prisoner! In 1996 is was used as a dining hall for banquets, etc. A bit noisy, but quite a venue!
